The Faculty of Law at Tay Do University was established in 2014, originating from the Department of Law under the Faculty of Basic Sciences. On October 18, 2017, the Department of Law was officially transferred to the direct management of the University’s Board of Directors in accordance with Decision No. 123/QD-CTHDT-DHTD, with functions and responsibilities equivalent to those of specialized faculties. Continuing its development, on August 2, 2023, the Faculty of Law was officially established under Decision No. 77/QD-CTHDT-DHTD, with the goal of becoming a reputable institution for legal education in the Mekong Delta region.
Since its establishment, the Faculty of Law has consistently strived to improve and expand, not only in terms of faculty members but also in curriculum development, with the aim of providing high-quality human resources in the field of law, particularly in Economic Law. The Faculty aims to train undergraduate and postgraduate students with solid professional expertise to meet the needs of government agencies, businesses, and contribute to the country's development and international integration process.
After more than a decade of formation and development, the Faculty of Law has provided society with more than 1,000 law graduates who possess the necessary expertise and professional skills to meet the growing demands of the labor market. Currently, the Faculty of Law focuses on training in Economic Law at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, further affirming its position and reputation in providing high-quality human resources for society.
